In anticipation of the recently proposed new recording by pianist Luke Welch, his third album - entitled The Return - has now been officially announced for release on Friday February 15, 2019. This album comes on the heels of the internationally critically acclaimed second album Crossing Borders and his debut album The Universal Language.
The Return features a collection of works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Robert Schumann - including the latter composer's virtuosic work Faschingsschwank aus Wien (Carnival Jest From Vienna), Op. 26. The recording, as a whole, combines all facets of a listener's pleasure - moments of bravado, delicateness, introspection, and joy as the program balances early works of both composers. This album will be available both online for download as well as CD edition.
More information, including the complete program and exclusive promotional opportunities (discount pricing, signed copies, etc.,) will be available soon.
