As a follow-up to the critically acclaimed CD Crossing Borders, Luke Welch will be returning to the recording studio later this year to lay the groundwork for his highly anticipated new album. In contrast to the last disc which included keyboard sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti, this album will feature a variety of composers and musical genres ranging from classical to romantic.
Though the complete programme has not yet been announced, these following pieces appear to be a part of the repertoire:
Beethoven Rondos, a sonata, and romantic works by Robert Schumann.
This album is set to be recorded in Cologne, Germany on September 27-28 and though a release date has not yet been announced, will likely take place in either late 2018 or early in 2019. Further details will be released later this summer.
