On Saturday September 2, the stages were set for the fifth edition of the Embassy Festival in the Hague, Netherlands.  This festival features a wide variety of performers, foods, exclusives from around the world and on a sunny Saturday in early September the weather forecast was perfect.

On this occasion, Luke Welch represented Canada on the Classical Stage on Lange Voorhout and treated the enthusiastic audience to an exciting programme featuring classical pieces from around the world including works by Scarlatti, Chopin, Morawetz, and Schumann.  To cap off the occasion, the Canadian Embassy tent invited one and all to meet the Canadian artist in a meet and greet autograph session.  Not only was this day's event another perfect opportunity to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday for both ex-pat Canadians and fellow Canucks on vacation, but it also provided an amazing all-world experience!

Welch next travels to London, England for recitals at St. George's Church in Beckenham on Saturday September 9, and Christ Church Music in Marlow on Sunday September 10.
